I’m off on my hols for three weeks in Vietnam soon and have indulged in a completely frivolous purchase…
I’ve been wanting to capture sounds for a while, I think they’re just as important as photos to reminisce. I remember trying to get to sleep at night in KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa last year over the sounds of these really strange frogs and wishing I could have recorded them. I find the rawness of video can’t capture the spirit of the moment like an image or sound alone so I’m looking forward to recording the sounds of the bustle of a floating market or the waves on a beach on the South China Sea. What I’ll actually do with the recordings is open for thought.
